Mercedes E63 AMG review

We review the Mercedes E63 AMG with Performance pack - a car that weight in with a staggering 549bhp and 590lb-ft of torque - and costs an equally impressive £80K+.

Taking the performance saloon to Rockingham really showed off what the E63 is capable of - it's a sideways beast in the wet but feels perfectly comfrtoable as an everyday car too.

With all that power and torque - and a limited-slip differential - the E63 AMG doesn't really come alive until the safety aids are turned off and the engine fired up.

Our drag race with the BMW M5 saw both cars take a round each. There wasn't time for a decider though, as McLaren turned up to thrash the MP4-12C around the track.
