Welcome to our Renault Megane Coupe Cabriolet (2010 On) page providing you access to a wealth of related information and specifications.
The Megane Coupe Cabriolet looks smart and is reasoably spacious - but you have to go for the right engine.
130g/km is good, but 188g/km is a bit much for the 2.0-litre petrol. Combined fuel economy is average at best, hovering between 34 and 48mpg.
There’s noise when the roof is up and down – but this isn’t much of an issue. All engines are generally smooth, with the bigger diesels the more refined.
17-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, air conditioning, sat-nav and Bluetooth connectivity all come as standard.
Though Renault’s reliability record isn’t too good, the build quality and materials in the Megane CC are of a very good standard.
Good sized boot even with the roof down, great standard kit, Renault’s safety record/five-star Euro NCAP rating.
Volkswagen Eos, Audi A3 Cabriolet.
Although the Megane Coupe Cabriolet has six engines to choose from, only two are genuinely worth considering – 158bhp 2.0-litre diesel and 128bhp 1.4-litre turbo petrol. While these aren’t fantastic performers due to the car’s hefty curb weight, the rest are sluggish and lack any real punch.
Though a very comfortable ride, the Megane CC’s handling isn’t as precise as the hatchback and the extra weight means it isn’t as balanced. On the up side, steering is very light and can be fun.
While the Megane Coupe Cabriolet’s boot is surprisingly big, rear space is compromised. There’s plenty of space upfront.
The Megane Coupe Cabriolet is priced competitively for the segment, but resale values aren’t as good as the class-leaders’. Running costs can be affordable depending on engine choice.
Six airbags, ABS and stability controls come on all models. Five stars from Euro NCAP on the Megane.
Not as nimble as its hatchback counterpart, not the most comfortable ride
