Chelsea Tractor on Wayne Rooney's mind?
Manchester Utd and England forward Wayne Rooney is rumoured to be moving to Chelsea FC as new manager Jose Mourinho wants to make Rooney his sole buy of the summer to bolster his attack.
There seems to be quite a bit of toing and froing but it made us think - what Chelsea tractor would Rooney buy if he joins the Blues?
As we all know footballers are famous for driving SUVs, more commonly regarded to as Chelsea tractors, so what would one of the best players in the world rock-up to training in?
Rooney has a love for luxurious and fast cars. He has owned Bentleys, Range Rovers, an Aston Martin Vanquish, an Audi RS6, a Cadillac Escalade, a BMW X5 and a Lamborghini Spyder.
If Rooney, however, moves from the English Premier league champions to the holders of the Europa League he may well decide to purchase another car to fit in with the southern lifestyle.
We have come up with a selection of vehicles to whet the appetite…
Range Rover Sport
First on Rooney's hit list could be the Range Rover Sport - it fits with his current mix of vehicles and is one of the most iconic cars that footballers choose time and time again.
Powerful, a leftfield choice and made to order. If you are going to sign oligarch then you want to make your mark - this will certainly stand out in the car park at training.
Mercedes GL Class
Mercedes-Benz is a prestige brand which would fit in with the affluent surroundings in Chelsea. It may not be a supercar but it has 'Are you looking at me?' all over this model.
Maybe Wayne will hold off from buying a new car until the Bentley SUV concept or the rumoured SUV from Rolls Royce arrives - just like his on-going transfer saga, Wayne has a lot to think about when it comes to cars.
Not forgetting Coleen, Wayne's wife, we think that she'd choose a Range Rover Evoque, given her friend Victoria Beckham helped with the design.
If Rooney does join the Blues then he could always give David Luiz a Land Rover 'Dive Centre' Defender. Probably best not to mention Luiz's dive against Man Utd last season or they might start off on the wrong foot.
