There are certain cars that are so massively popular you can expect to see them all around the world - the best selling/award winning Ford Fiesta for example.
But with a change of scenery, comes a shift in automotive popularity, something of which I myself found to be true on a recent trip to Rome.
While exploring the streets of the gladiatorial city, I took a few snaps of some of the cars which I found to be intriguing, rare or downright strange.
Citroen 2CV
The Citroen 2CV began its journey in 1948 and has since become one of the coolest looking vintage cars...

There is plenty of debate about electric car ownership. The list of contentious issues is astonishing; range anxiety, where the electricity comes from and real CO2 emissions when this is taken into account, cost of battery replacements, residual values and even initial price.
However, chances are most people who consider an electric car will really care about two things; cost and practicality.
While the range of an electric car is, on average, around 100 miles between charges this is expected to be improved in the future.
If drivers only use their cars for shorter journeys - and this is the target market for...

The world of supercars and luxury grand tourers includes many incredibly expensive models which for the majority of us can only dream to own.
Even for richer motorists though there are cars out there in the market which are so remarkable and come in such short numbers, that their price can be pushed passed a million pound and beyond.
Of course there are plenty of examples of cars selling at auctions for multiple millions. Think for instance of the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, the sports car which was made specifically for the legendary British racing driver Sir Stirling Moss. It was sold...

For today's addition of MotorTorque's #carspotting feature, we take a look at a British sports car, which was snapped and kindly sent to us by Twitter user Anderi.P (@AndreiQV). The model is a Morgan SuperSports convertible.
First launched back in 2010, the SuperSports currently sits top amongst Morgan's range of traditional and nostalgic British sports car. It is currently available in UK showrooms priced at a whopping £126,900.
The SuperSports is similarly designed to the Aero 8 convertible sports car, but it is essentially a targa-roofed convertible version of the hardtop AeroMax coupe which was built in 2008 and 2009.
Like the AeroMax,...

MotorTorque's #carspotting feature returns with a look at just two of the many models on display at the moment at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Today we take a look at the Chevrolet Corvette and the compact Lumeneo models.

The Corvette name has been around the motoring industry since the early fifties, the latest in the series of famous American sports cars is present at this year's Paris Motor Show.

In this week's edition of our #carspotting feature, we take a look at a recent creation from British car brand Lotus, the ultra-light and remarkably powerful 2012 Exige S Coupe.
This sports car was witnessed up close during our supercar film shoot in Wales last week, which you can read more about in this blog entry here. Rivals to the Lotus Exige S include other performance coupes like the BMW M3 and the Porshce Cayman R.
Based heavily on the Lotus Elise sports car, the Exige S sports a low, wide and aerodynamic aluminium bodyshell complete with a front splitter and rear...

Yesterday and today MotorTorque has been down at a place called Bylchau found in the countryside of North Wales.
It's here where you'll find a driving route known as the Evo triangle, which has become popular with both motoring journalists and driving enthusiasts in general.
It's here we find gathered an impressive selection of sport cars, provided by Car Dealer magazine as part of their Road Test of the Year feature.
We headed down to do some filming and get behind the wheel of the cars ourselves. And what a selection of cars...
The exciting line-up we find in front of us includes the...

Today's entry for MotorTorque's #carspotting feature has a sporting flavour, courtesy of this particular Bentley Continental GT which we saw parked up near the office and belongs to Liverpool and England international footballer Glen Johnson.
Johnson's car happened to be spotted today on what is also the player's 28th birthday.
The former West Ham, Chelsea and Portsmouth footballer has also previously been reported to own an Aston Martin DB9 Vantage.
His Bentley noticeably sports a custom number plate which most likely refers to the initials of his name.
The Continental GT Coupe seen here also features some custom modifications at the front. The bumper...

In this week's edition of MotorTorque's #carspotting feature, we take a closer look at an interesting supercar which appeared just outside the office. The car in question is the very fast yet, surprisingly affordable Nissan GT-R.
First launched back in 2009, the GT-R has been repeatedly updated every year since by Nissan, which has been squeezing out extra engine performance and continued to sharpen handling characteristics.
What really makes this car stand out is that performance-wise it can match or exceed the capabilities of a lot of today's supercars, yet the two-door coupe is also way cheaper in comparison to its closest...

Over at the Pinkstones Toyota dealership in Stoke-On-Trent yesterday, a VIP event was hosted to gain exclusive access to the Toyota GT86.
MotorTorque got the chance to get up close and personal with the brand new sports coupe, a week before its official launch in the UK. Here are our first impressions of this exciting new car.
Those who had a pass could not only get right up to the car in the metal, but sit inside, examine the engine and boot, and even arrange a test drive in the car later this month (if you're a potential customer that is)...
