Land Rover reveal Discovery 4 HSE Luxury

Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE Luxury

The new HSE Luxury was revealed at the New York Motor Show and, like many other Land Rover special editions, retains the classic boxy Land Rover appeal.

The HSE Luxury aspect of the model includes subtle exterior additions and a refreshed interior.

Its interior comes equipped with new upholstery and media equipment. There is a choice of either Ebony or Ivory leather as well as a Windsor leather pack, which features on the instrument panel, armrests and fascia top.

Tinted windows and luxury 'Dark Zebrano' veneer carpet mats are also offered inside.

New media equipment includes a Harman/Kardon LOGIC7 Audio system, which provides a power output of 825W, a plus for those who like their music loud. 8-inch entertainment screens are also added to the rear seats.

On the outside, a new exclusive 'Santorini Black' paintjob is applied, which sits alongside 20-inch alloy wheels and silver detailing that features on its front and rear bumpers, roof rails and door mirror caps.

Engine wise a SDV6 252bhp diesel is offered, which can reach a top speed of 112mph and has a 0-60mph sprint time of 8.8 seconds. This powertrain is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Although the HSE Luxury comes with an array of stylish additions, Land Rover is adamant that they won't affect the Discovery 4's off-road aptitude and that it will retain its 'go anywhere, do anything capability'.

The new Land Rover Discovery 4 HSE Luxury is priced at £56,995 on the road.
