The Honda S2000 is a fiery two-seat roadster from Honda, launched in the UK way back in 1999.
After ten years on the market, where it sold for around £28,000 as new, the S2000 was deleted by Honda in 2009 and not replaced.
As well as sporty, dynamic looks, the S2000 comes with a capable 2.0-litre 240bhp engine under the bonnet. It generates 208lb-ft of torque which is enough for it to clear 60mph in six seconds flat. The S2000 was known for its track ability thanks to its stiff chassis, but has a reputation for catching out unwary drivers. Nevertheless the Honda roadster has a loyal following.

The S2000’s 240 2.0-litre petrol engine only delivers peak performance at high revs – the redline is at an absurd 8,800 rpm. It’s well-behaved in town but in transforms into a mad thing on the straight, but has to be worked hard to get it up to 6000rpm, where it changes profile and becomes insane.
