Koenigsegg Agera R
Estimated retail price: Above £1 million
First revealed back in 2011, the crazy-looking Agera R is an ultra fast hypercar from the Swedish automaker Koenigsegg.
Featuring a detachable hardtop, the Agera R is armed with a 900+bhp 5.0-litre V8 engine which can run on petrol or biofuel. Theoretically the car has a maximum top speed of 273mph which would make it the fastest road-legal production car in the world.
A significantly updated version of the Agera R was unveiled at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show which will go on sale in 2013. This new version has a revised suspension system and an updated body kit for extra downforce.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport
Estimated retail price: £1.1 million
The Bugatti Veyron is of course famous for setting a new top speed record for a road-legal production car on two occasions back in 2005 and 2010. Between those years, a convertible version of the insanely fast supercar was introduced to the range.
Called the 16.4 Grand Sport, this Veyron had a removable hard top and as a result the chassis gained extra reinforcement to prevent the bodyshell from flexing.
With the roof the Grand Sport is as fast as the original standard Veyron, meaning a top speed of 253mph. Removing the roof however and the car's top speed is limited for safety reasons to mere 229mph.

Of all the road cars Aston Martin has made, the One-77 is undoubtedly the most expensive, exclusive and luxurious all at the same time.

Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster
Estimated retail price: £1.3 million
The Pagani Zonda was already a fast, highly expensive and very flamboyant hypercar as standard.
However a long series of special edition versions have followed, pushing the performance - and price - to insane levels.
One of Pagani's special edition models is the Cinque Roadster, a road-legal convertible based on the Zonda R race car. Unlike other road-going Zondas, this version was equipped with a six-speed sequential gearbox which improved the 0-62mph sprint time to just 3.4 seconds.
The bodyshell is made out of a combination of carbon fibre and titanium, or as Pagani called it "carbo-titanium".
Just five Cinque Roadsters were built, all priced above one million pounds.

Zenvo ST1 50S
Estimated retail price: £1.1 million
This is a rare special edition version of a Danish-made supercar which was rolled out to customers back in 2011. By far its most noteworthy feature is the large and ludicrously powerful engine.
It uses an in-house 7.0-litre V8 petrol engine, much like the standard ST1 does, but the 50S edition upgrades the power output from an already absurd 1,089bhp up to 1,233bhp.
Performance wise the car can do the 0-62mph sprint in less than three seconds and the top speed is electronically limited to 233mph.
Only three of these beasts have been made, and not surprisingly you'd need to be a millionaire to get all this power.

McLaren F1
Estimated retail price: £1 million
The McLaren F1 is an iconic supercar which set a record for the fastest production road car back in 1998 when it managed to clock 231mph.
Customers had to fork out a million pounds for the original model, but at least they got what is widely considered one of the greatest driver's cars ever built.
It features a 627bhp 6.1-litre V12 made by BMW, a central seating position for the driver and various driving technologies inspired by Formula One cars.
Most recently, a McLaren F1 has been in the news when car-nut Rowan Atkinson wrote one off. Luckily, he was unharmed but the same cannot be said for the seven-figure supercar.

Ferrari Enzo
Estimated retail price: £1 million
To celebrate the 60th year anniversary of Ferrari, the legendary Italian sports car maker launched a hypercar in 2002 named after the company's founder Enzo.
This large, wide and striking looking thing featured a 650bhp 6.0-litre V12 which helped give it a top speed of 219mph.
Just 400 units of the Ferrari Enzo were built in a two year production period, all of which were sold to some very rich customers.

Lamborghini Aventador J
Estimated retail price: £1.75 million
This is an outrageous roadster version of the Lamborghini Aventador supercar which took everyone by surprise when the Italian automakers unveiled it at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
Featuring no roof or windshield whatsoever, the Aventador J was thought up and created in the space of just six weeks according to its makers Lamborghini.
Given this car likely shares the same engine as the standard Aventador, which uses a 6.5-litre V12 and can travel up to 220mph, driving this thing would certainly be interesting.
Anyone hoping to own one however is out of luck, since this car is just a one-off by Lamborghini and they have already sold it to an anonymous customer. The lucky buyer has reportedly paid the equivalent of £1.75 million for this exclusive model.
