According to the latest survey by the National Franchised Dealers Association's (NFDA), Toyota and Lexus share the top ranking for fairest warranty service in the UK.
Lexus moves up a notch in the ranking and joins its sister brand Toyota, which has been top since winter 2010, at the top of the fairest warranty table.

The survey rated warranty as a whole and measured both the quality of the warranty as well as the way in which warranty claims are dealt with by the manufacturer.
Both Japanese brands offer a range of similar warranty features, but at different costs due to the brands being polls apart with Lexus the luxury arm of Toyota.
Toyota’s warranty is a comprehensive five years/100,000 miles. The warranty includes road side assistance in 43 countries, 12 year cover for any anti-corrosion or perforation on the cars body and three year cover for any rusting of the cars paint.
Toyota’s extended warranty offers expenses for repairs if a car fails its MOT, hotel expenses of up to £150 in case Toyota can’t reach you in the event of a breakdown and a no claims bonus of £50 when your warranty is renewed.
Toyota’s luxury sub brand Lexus offers a three years/60,000 miles comprehensive warranty with no mileage limitation for its first year on the road. Lexus also offer warranty for manufacturing defects on hybrid vehicles and 24 hour roadside assistance in 44 countries.
The extended warranty for Lexus does offer some useful perks like MOT cover and hotel breakdown expenses, but it doesn’t come cheap.
It comes with a choice of either 12 or 24 months cover and prices depend on what model you own. If you where to buy a 12 month extended warranty for a Lexus CT 200h it costs £640; 24 month cover for a Lexus SC 430 costs £1,960.
