Suzuki is the latest car manufacturer to launch a winter tyre programme.
The Japanese manufacturer’s programme covers its entire current model range and closely follows the announcement of a similar scheme from a number of other manufacturers as temperatures drop and the prospect of snow and ice looms over the UK.

Suzuki is reminding motorists that winter tyres work best in temperatures below seven degrees Celsius, where as regular road tyres will lose grip in these conditions.
The company also says that a full set of winter tyres can have a shelf-life of two-three years, as well as reduce the chances of salt corrosion affecting alloy wheels.
Suzuki’s winter tyre programme applies to all current models in the company’s range and offers a ready-to-fit wheel or full tyre set.
Pricing starts from £106 per tyres (including VAT) on the Suzuki Alto city car, meaning a full set costs £424. A full set of winter wheel trims alone can be bought for £33 (including VAT).
Each winter tyre for the Splash city car will cost £121; while it £125 each for the Suzuki Swift £130 for the Swift Sport.
Pricing climbs up further to £160 each on the SX4 hatchback. Winter tyres will cost £186 each for the Jimny mini SUV and £225 each on the larger Grand Vitara SUV.
