However, the offer is limited to 2,000 cars nationwide from Skoda dealerships. Orders eligible for this offer must be taken before 3 April 2011, says the Czech manufacturer.
The five-door 1.6-litre MPI model in SE trim includes 15 inch alloy wheels, ABS, airbags, air conditioning, front and rear electric windows, a touch screen stereo with six-CD changer, trip computer and electric heated door mirrors as standard.
The SE specification represents the middle trim for the Octavia. Entry-level S models start from £13,105 and range-topping Elegance versions cost £15,860.
This makes the special offer SE model the cheapest Octavia hatchback available to buy, despite offering more equipment than Octavia S models.
The engine offers fuel economy of 44.8mpg while delivering a top speed of 118mph and a 0-60mph sprint time of 12.3 seconds.
The Octavia already has a good reputation as a family car, and has picked up numerous awards since its launch.
The model was recently chosen by What Car? readers as the Best Small Family Car. Skoda also picked up the award for Best Manufacturer, and came out top in the Auto Express Driver Power Awards.
The model received a facelift in 2009, with some design and functional improvement. The engines come from parent company Volkswagen, and the Octavia is recognised as one of the first cars to help improve the brand’s reputation in recent years.
