No information has been released regarding a UK release, and is due to go on sale for an astonishing €416,500 (£330,500).
So what makes it so fast? Four electric motors under its bonnet produce a total output of 740hp and a maximum torque of 1000Nm. It's, amazingly, able to hit 60mph in 3.7 seconds but can only reach 155mph which is an electronically-limited feature of the car.
Mercedes-Benz also featured a battery-powered B-Class, which is due for launch in 2014.
