The Nissan Juke Nismo, the second performance-tuned version of the mini-SUV, will enter production in the UK starting from early 2013.
The Nismo was first revealed as a concept during the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in March. It follows on from the Juke-R which was presented back in 2011 as a one-off concept with supercar-matching performance figures.

However due to high demand Nissan has decided to put the Juke-R pocket rocket on the production line, while the milder Juke Nismo will follow suit.
The final production-ready version of the Nismo will make its public bow this weekend by attending the Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race, where Nissan is competing with a radical new race car called the DeltaWing.
Just like the DeltaWing the Juke Nismo will feature a 1.6-litre petrol turbo engine. However while that race car produces around 300bhp the Nismo will reportedly produce more in the region of 200bhp. A figure like this would be a lot less compared to the Juke-R, which is set to deliver 545bhp in production form.
The Juke Nismo's most likely rivals then will include the Volkswagen Tiguan R Line, another performance crossover SUV which can deliver up to 197bhp from a 2.0-litre petrol engine.
Like the Juke-R the Nismo will feature stiffer suspension and more direct steering compared to the standard Juke, to sharpen the driving characteristics.
The handling will be enhanced further by an aggressive body kit, which adds side skirts, large front air intakes and a rear spoiler, all to produce extra downforce.
Inside the Nismo adds unique brand sports seats with red stitching, while the steering wheel and gear knob gets a redesign to.
No details have been revealed yet regarding the Juke Nismo's performance figures or the car's pricing.
It has been confirmed however that the Nismo will be built at Nissan's UK car plant in Sunderland, where the full Juke is currently assembled. Production starts in early 2013, with first deliveries most likely arriving later that year.
