Vauxhall has launched an online application designed to allow business drivers and fleet managers to work out whole-life costs.
The ‘Whole Life Cost Calculator’ works out how much one car or a whole fleet of vehicles from the Vauxhall range will cost in its entire lifespan.
Models from many other major manufacturers can be selected with the same data, in order to make a detailed comparison.
Users can add additional details such as whether fuel will be provided free, annual mileages, length of contract and the current cost of petrol or diesel.
Vauxhall says fleet operators and company car drivers should be able to make an informed decision as to which model or group of models is the most viable option.
The Fleet Marketing Manager at Vauxhall, Steve Catlin, explained: “Understanding whole life costs, from taxation to residual values, can be incredibly complicated.
“Our new Whole Life Cost Calculator helps fleet managers to work their way through complex data and make informed decisions that are best for them.
“The calculator is also handy for company car drivers in understanding their tax implications and fuel costs of any models that they may be looking at for their next company car, as well as any technical information about the model."
The Whole Life Cost Calculator can be accessed now on tools page of Vauxhall’s fleet website. Users of the calculator can choose to download their comparisons onto a PDF file.
