The new Vauxhall Corsa ecoFLEX will be available to order from January 2010, boasting CO2 emissions of 98g/km and combined fuel consumption of 76.3mpg in three-door trim.
Five-door models are already available and emit 99g/km, while both are equipped with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) as standard. As a result the ecoFLEX is placed in the 13 per cent BIK diesel band, and exempt from VED (Vehicle Excise Duty).

The ecoFLEX 1.3 CDTi turbodiesel engine develops 94bhp, while torque is up to 140lb-ft at 1750rpm.
The model boasts a tweaked turbocharger to improve both performance and efficiency, and particularly to boost low-end torque and peak power. At the other end gearing is lengthened to improve efficiency.
Acceleration to 62mph is in 12.3 seconds and top speed at 110mph.
Other tweaks on the ecoFLEX include a 20mm lower ride height and, in Life trim, 175/70 low-rolling resistance tyres on 14-inch steel rims. Club models get 15-inch steel rims with alloys as an option and aero-optimised wheel trims.
The Vauxhall Corsa ecoFLEX is available in Life and Club trim only. Full pricing will be announced soon.
