Ford has announced that it replacement for the Fiesta – the Verve Concept – will debut at the Frankfurt Show in September.
The Verve Concept has been produced by the same design team behind the Iosis and Iosis X concepts and new Mondeo and S_MAX production models.

The Verve will not replace the Fiesta, but will provide the styling cues for the production model, though it remains to be seen if 18" alloys, panoramic windscreen and lack of B-pillar make it to production.
Interior design has been inspired by mobile phones, according to Ford, which presumably doesn’t mean flimsy and fiddly.
“A new generation of buyers raised with mobile electronic devices would feel right at home in this new automotive interior, one that exceeds the standards typical in the small-car segment," said Niko Vidakovic, Chief Interior Designer, Ford of Europe.
The production car based on the Verve is due out in mid-2008. The model will be built on the same chassis as the Mazda2 and is likely to provide styling cues for Ford’s Ka replacement.
