Fiat will unveil a low-emissions concept variant of the 500 supermini at the Geneva Motor Show.
The Fiat 500 Aria emits 98g/km of carbon dioxide - making it exempt from road tax and the London Congestion Charge - using Stop-Start technology with a 1.3-litre Multijet diesel engine.

Power is transmitted through a Dualogic manual gearbox with longer gearing to improve fuel economy by 10% over the normal Multijet engine.
A Diesel Particulate Filter cuts sooty emissions to ensure Euro V, while the interior features recycled materials such as reused leather trim and rubber floor mats from recycled tyres.
The right-on interior trim may not make it into production, but Fiat says the 500 Aria could be in production by the end of 2008.
