The Suzuki Alto is now available to buy with a new frugal engine, capable of achieving sub 100g/km CO2 emissions.
Although only recently launched, the Alto has been given a boost in green credentials as it joins the ranks of cars exempt from the London congestion charge.

The new Suzuki Alto powertrain is a 67bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that delivers low C02 emissions of 99g/km and develops maximum torque of 66lbft at 3,400 rpm.
The 99g/km figure is available when the Alto is matched with a manual transmission, whereas the automatic transmission delivers CO2 emissions up to 118g/km. The new engine also delivers a combined fuel consumption of 65.7mpg.
According to Suzuki, the new congestion charge exemption means a potential annual saving of £2,600 for motorists living in the capital.
Alongside its new green credentials, the Alto offers three trim levels: SZ, SZ3 and SZ4.
The Suzuki Alto SZ trim offers power steering, MP3 compatibility, front and rear door storage and 14-inch steel wheels.
The SZ3 trim upgrades with manual air conditioning and remote central locking. The top-of-the-range SZ4 trim adds a six speaker audio system, 50:50 split rear folding seats, 14-inch alloy wheels and the option of colour contrasting door handles and mirrors.
SZ4 specification is the only level that offers Electronic Stability Control (ESP) as standard, a safety features offered by a rising number of manufacturers as standard.
